Ive just bought a new camera. 8)
Not a great deal wrong with my old Canon G10 with a more than adaquate 8gb SD card memory, however as my daughter is doing photography at school, Ive let her have it and after much research bought a Lumix DMC FZ1000. It shoots 4k video amongst other things so I need a decent memory card.
Therefore my question is....seeing as how they seem to vary so much in price for say a 32GB card, does anyone have any recommendations or advice as what to buy or what not to buy?
Thanks in advance!
avoid ebay, loads of fakes about.
tesco had some the other day, 32gb for £20 iirc.
I've got one of these in my phone. 32g one is £8.29

I usually go for the Sandisk ones that come with a lifetime warranty, usually the faster cards cost more which is why the cost differs quote a bit for the same capacity.
Buy from a supplier you trust. I recently got a 32gb one for my phone for about £8 from 7dayshop - less now.
For 4K you want the fastest card you can get, also your 32GB is only about an hours worth of 4k if it's anything like a GoPro so it might be worth spending a bit extra on a 64GB.
Fastest read and write speed you can get at class 10 Sandisk ultra/pro
Okay thanks, as someone recently said.....every days a school day!
Sandisk/Samsung/Transcend are my favourites.
Avoid Kingston like the plague!
I bought a Sandisk extreme Pro 64gb in the end for 35 quid.
