From yesterday apparently.....mental! The image of an overweight bloke in a football shirt having a fight on the summit of Snowdon really does just typify that ****ish sector of society well though! I bet they were all clapping the NHS every Thursday just a few weeks back too.

Agreed it's "flip flop" mountain....and I get the arguement that it keeps 99% of the dickheads in one place. I actually really like Snowdon though, there's some great routes around there and stunning views on a clear day.

These are the people who would normally be holidaying on the Costas, I bet.

clip to short to see, and obvz they're both being a bit stoopid but is it the "other" bloke rather than ManUFan who's jumping the queue?

The concept of forming an orderly queue to reach a summit trig on a mountain baffles me.

Edit. Thought not entirely unexpected on Snowdon on a bank holiday.

Same at the top of Everest, innit?

Funnily enough that weekend I was riding about Mid-Wales and hardly saw anyone. Such a shame to waste a sunny Bank Holiday with those idiots!

Queuing for the summit of a mountain that many will have not even walked up (assuming the train is still running?).

Such is the human condition 😆

And your post typifies another sector of society almost perfectly.

Well done!

....and what sector would that be Rusty?

The one that doesn't get into scraps on Snowdon and isn't overweight? Sounds like a decent sector of society to me 😎

(assuming the train is still running?).

Train only going to 1/2 way station this year, and cafe shut, so some element of walking would have been needed.

I believe it is the bloke that looks like a hiker being blocked by MUFC representative.

Queue for the summit was reportedly upto an hour.

Looks effing grim to me.

Probably did a cheeky line around the back of the cafe and got all antsy as a result.

People like that are like dog shit on a bike ride. You try to avoid them, but sometimes you can't. But a bit of a wipe on some grass and a well applied stick is a good temporary fix. Then a hose pipe when you get home and it is over.

Dunno about the “fight”, but queueing? On a mountain? what an absolutely shit way to spend your weekend.

This ^^ Or just queueing anywhere, for that matter! Life is truly too damn short.

C'mon guys British people are above fighting over bog roll.

Or were they preventing a 5G mast being erected!

Queue this way, for the panorandemic view. Because of social distancing restrictions have the people been advised to ensure that they crowd famous beauty spots like never before in their lives?

Christ. I was up there this time last year. Can’t remember seeing anyone, except a jolly nice chap on the summit who gave me a mars bar.

I don't think I'd queue ⁵ minutes to get to the man-made bit the to of Snowdon! You are already at the top!

It'd be better if they all formed a wide circle round the summit cairn then, on cue, run in towards the middle, elbowing each in the face as the circle contracts. 360 degree webcam on the summit. I'd watch that.

Perhaps we should import some of the frozen corpses from Everest and scatter them about near the summit. That might put some folk off.

I took my son up last year for the first time and the queue looked at least an hour long. Thank heavens he was happy just getting to the cafe level before heading down.

I think it's because it's no longer adequate to stroll up, have a look and march on. Today you need time on top to take a panorama, a few selfies with mates and make a phone call to tell everyone where you are.

A few too cool for school comments here.

A lot of regular folks who don't do this type of thing really ever, feel a real sense of achievement walking up Snowdon. It's not the north face of the Eiger for sure, but it's more of a walk than a lot are used to(those that don't take the train anyway) let them have their selfies and go somewhere else.

I've biked up it a few times, walked a few times but went up it around New Year with a couple of friends who aren't real outdoorsy types. One in particular was so chuffed with himself. Kept going on for days about walking up it. Was really proud of himself. Fair play to him.

We're not all Chris Bonnington.

Still, fighting though? knobbers. 🙄

I have seen queues to get on the top of popular mountains 40 years ago

Am I watching the same video?

Young lad in a football top dares to walk in a bit of open ground where no-one else is, bigger lad confronts him, goes to push him, trips up. Fin.

The format is weird (is this a quirk of Tik Tok? I've never used it), it played a few seconds of him walking about then jumped to 'popular videos' mostly consisting of cleavage. Various Vulcan Nerve Pinch combinations of back / forward / refresh got me a second part with the pratfall confrontation. Is there more that I'm missing?

We once did a dawn raid on Snowdon for a clear ride back down… met a guy up there with a carrier bag with his breakfast in… had taken a drunken bet in London that he wouldn’t go straight from the pub to the top of Snowden. Long live the call the of the mountain.

It makes (very slightly) more sense in the ‘Wales Online’ link I posted

Terrific.
Strangely, stuff like this makes me proud of my countrymen. I like the fact that we argue over queuing and we can have that argument without pulling out a gun and shooting each other, or suing the other party for mental distress. Just push, shove, shout and move on, burnishing the resentment and humiliation into a polished kernel of unfulfilled revenge. Great day out in the mountains.

I think experienced rambler hiker tries to go up the down escalator and football shirt lad points out this isn't on.

Though looking at the length of the queue it could have been just a bit of performance art to entertain the masses.
