Hi all. I don’t like asking for things, but this one’s for my daughter.

She’ll be running the Edinburgh Marathon this year in support of Scottish Mountain Rescue, as both she and Mrs SR spend so much time walking and scrambling at altitude, and she has set up a JustGiving page to raise £600 to this end.

If you have a spare quid throw her way, she (and I) would really appreciate it!

The page can be found here.

It's Mrs S's birthday weekend and she has asked that folk donate to the MR instead of buying her presents.

Having once been the beneficiary of service by an Air Ambulance, I know how important all such services are. Good on Mrs S!

children have to learn their parents lie to them one day - usually they learn before they are old enough to run a marathon - but who are we to burst her bubble!

I just got a text from my daughter. She’s over the moon, and wants me thank you guys. Her fundraiser is almost halfway there, and most of it has come from you lot.

Thank you for the support, and for caring enough to respond to this!

Yeah yeah yeah.  Strongarming this poor pensioner to spend his pension on this instead of C&H 🙂

With thanks to all of you, she has surpassed the halfway mark.

You lot make me happy!

This is the last time I will bump this thread, but know that the gratitude is deep and sincere.
