I'm not sure if this little scorp is a [i]Buthus ibericus[/i] or [i]Buthus occitanus[/i], though I suspect it's an ibericus.
Either way it was very active late last night so I thought I would try a few ultraviolet shots.

All [i]Buthus[/i] scorpions are DWA (dangerous wild animal) licensed in the UK
but this variety are not deadly to humans (though their African cousins are more serious). They are native to Southern Spain and are fairly common, but can be quite hard to find sometimes
