I'm a technician at a private school and we're still expected to go into work along with all the other support admin staff, they're also expecting teachers to be in for remote learning from their classrooms although we have a few doing it from home. This is in complete contrast to the primary state school where my wife works where they're all now working from home and support staff cut to bare minimum and they've set up rotas for the key worker and vulnerable pupils, it's hardly social distancing and it looks like I'll be spending time cleaning out cupboards which hardly seems like the most important thing right now. We're being told by Boris that school to close but the govt advice online seems to suggest schools should stay open if possible, last time I looked on Friday. So anyone else support staff on here and what have you been told to do.

All of our staff were told by the head that we could come in briefly on Monday to collect anything we needed but that after that the only staff allowed in were those on the Key Worker rota for that particular day. I think the answer to your question from my school’s perspective is ‘go home and stay home’.
