It's not really a colossal track though. Three seconds to do a lap doesn't seem that big an ask to me (when we're talking about record-holding champions, anyway).

That's not proper Scalextric: it's HO scale with the tiny little cars pinned to the track with a magnet. Wouldn't be getting round my 55' 1:32 track in that time!
