Just found several bags of sausages in the deep recesses of my freezer. They have been there nearly a year, if I defrost them, cook them and eat them will I die?
you will die.
possibly not as a direct result of eating the sausages.
A year?
Is that all?
Yes, you will definitely die.
Maybe not today. Maybe not tomorrow. But some day.

The newest stuff in my freezer is about that old..
Nothing bad could ever befall you from sausage consumption. Its a well known fact
I've had some bananas in my freezer for six months - do you think they'll still be ok?
How long can you keep fish in a freezer for?
I put one in last night and it was dead this morning 😆
'sausages in freezer'... is that a euphemism? 🙂

That's what I told Mrs CD
If it helps you could defrost them, de-skin them and cook them thoroughly?
cook them thoroughly
Surely sausages should always be eaten 'rare'?
I reckon there's stuff in our freezer that was put in there the day after we bought it [5 or so years ago]
Don't think I'd ever worry about eating any of it

And for the rest of your... oh.
Just some stuff gets sort of Ice Burn from being in the freezer, especially opened bags of frozen veg. The sausages are in sealed bags.
Guess they are fine for a while then.... roll on BBQ time!
I once found an old steak in the freezer. "Not wasting that" I thought and made a stir-fry.
Gave me the thundering shits!
I'd not risk it, 'tis only a packet of snags.

I am presently boiling up mushroom filled ravioli pasta which has a sell by date circa september 2006.
If I don't post again, bin the sausages.
