You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
We’ve been using Freesat via our old sky dish for a number of years. Last week we discovered no signal (TV says weak signal or receiver issue). Nothing through either the Freesat box or directly into the TV.
Does anyone know what might have happened? Do dishes stop working? Always assumed they were fairly passive. Any advice would be great. Two wires from front box on dish come into the house and one into the TV and one into the Freesat box. Other wire has not been attached for ages as far as I’m aware.

That LNB, the thing that the wires come out of, looks knackered.
The coax cable doesn't look the best either, water ingress?
a) Dishes can move out of alignment.
b) That one looks older than me, and as gobuchul said, the quad LNB and associated cable looks absolutely sodded.
I'd be getting a man out to replace the lot TBH.
Could be the above, Or it could be the box. They do fail, we had an old skybox for a few years, same weak signal/receiver issue. Picked up another old skybox from the flea market for a few quid and it worked fine. Borrow one from someone to test it out?
Thanks all. Guess it’s borked then! Tried it direct into the smart TV and also through a box so can confirm it’s the dish.
