Can anyone recommend a sat nav that can be set when you drive over the speed limit ( yes I know driving over the limit is bad and you should be paying attention, but when you are in an area for the first time sometimes it is t always obvious what the limit is)

So, do most have such a setting? Our current one only has an alarm when you go over a certain speed.

Loads have that. Even my phone two phones ago did. The specs lists in the shops should tell you.

Hi Barney, How you doing?

The most irritating feature of mine - Ive turned it off. Constant series of pings as yoour speed fluctuates between 29 and 31 mph. for example

I know, you'd have thought they'd put up signs or something wouldn't you? I mean, what do we pay road tax for? 🙂

tomtom does that - it doesn't alert you when you go over by 1mph, it does it when you go a certain amount over (can't remember how much - 10% or something)

CoPilot on my phone does it. I guess most do.

*obligatory passive-aggressive comment about paying attention*
