Sad news, 39 is no age. RIP
Aye, just read that too, she didn't get long from diagnosis, poor lass.
39 !! It's no age at all.
RIP .
It’s always so sad when someone goes so young.
Worth reminding yourself just how bloody good Girls Aloud were
They sort of subverted that whole ‘manufactured band’ thing by being pretty bloody smart cookies and banging out absolutely perfect pop music. RIP 😢
39 is no age - awfully sad news. It's not really my music type; however, as said above, they did release some catchy 'banging' pop music - and videos....
Binners well said sir, Untouchable is perfect pop music and there is nothing wrong with pop music.
Honestly couldn't tell you who she was by name but that's shite.
**** cancer.
Didn't she delay seeking medical attention after symptoms during lockdown 1.0? I fear there are/were many who avoided the NHS likewise and suffered badly for it. Poor girl.
Same age as myself. Always a good reminder to live for today as well as tomorrow
A helluva pop band and she was the one that really looked like she was enjoying the whole thing. Had a major crush on her when I was a young man. A horrible disease ☹️
My missus has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. We reckon to have caught it early, (chemo starts next week) and aren't being too fatalistic about it, but this is a reminder that it's still a killer.
Good luck @scotroutes.
I’ve been running my dad back and too for his radiotherapy for prostrate cancer.
Initial results are massively positive, so stay strong and stay positive fella. The treatment works if you get it early
Terrible news and a sad reminder of how this horrible disease can affect anyone.
Best wishes to you all @Scotroutes. Great it’s been caught early.
My wife was diagnosed just before Christmas 2013 after she found a lump, can’t fault the excellent care by the team that looked after her. After quite significant surgery and chemo she remains all clear, we approached it in a similar way to how you describe. Needless to say it has changed our outlook and approach to life.
**** cancer!
Lost two mates to breast cancer over the last few years, one was 44, other died on her 39th birthday. Awful disease. 🙁
Horrid disease .. 🦠
Colin, thoughts with you both 🤞
I am one of the lucky ones, so far..
There's only one track on my music device from a Boy/Girl Band - Call the Shots. It's been there for yonks because it's excellent and it's staying... RIP Sarah Harding.
Best wishes to the wife @scotroutes , It's a horrible disease . She was a gorgeous young lassie . Rest In Peace.
So sad. A beautiful young woman gone too soon.
@scotroutes I hope you guys smash it. All the best!
Duck cancer.
Just this morning (before her death was announced) R1 were playing Live Lounge highlights including Arctic Monkeys cover of Love Machine and it made me think how successful and tremendously poppy Girls Aloud were.
RIP Sarah
Poor kid.
Scotroutes, our love and very best wishes.
I lost someone I loved very, very dearly to breast cancer, at young age.
30 years later it still makes me very angry, even though there was nothing we could have done differently.
Love to all.
Poor girl…. #****cancee
All the best to mrs scotroutes.
We are so lucky in this country to have free breast screening. But, it's for over 50s. Hopefully the NHS can lower the age to 40.
Sarah Harding (a local lass) was never afraid of hard work. I absolutely love girls aloud and bop around the house if their music is on the radio.
RIP
Something else that i found out recently, the nhs stops doing automatic appts for breast screening at 70, but you can request them.
I found this out because my mum realised she hadn't had one and asked.
You can guess what the outcome was, but thankfully after op and chemo and some radio she is clear.
So if you have female relatives then get them to follow it up as it won't happen automatically
graham1980 - It's the same with smear tests, which are stopped at a certain age.
Lucky that your mum was sensible.
