Hi i was wondering if anyone can help to clarify something please,
I live in the United Kingdom and have seen a 2020 hightower Lt cc frame for nearly £600 pounds cheaper than i can find in the UK,
My question is if i buy the frame from Poland and i live in the UK will the warranty still stand, will i be able to walk into any SC dealer in the UK and get warranty issues fixed or would I have to send it back to where I bought it from (Poland) to get warranty issues fixed,
Regards Stuart
Warranty stands.
My 5010 is from Spain (almost half price..).
Mate has a SC from Germany and he gets free bearings etc as if UK purchase.
You may wish to email them to see if Brexit has an impact on this.
Cheers thanks for the info, ive emailed SC to confirm
Regards
Registering is a case of inputting the frame number together with details of the dealer and a copy of the receipt in the appropriate place on the SC website.
Will i be able to walk into any SC dealer and get warranty issues fixed (hopefully wont need to) even though I bought it from Poland or doesn't where i bought it from matter??
Regards Stuart
Looking at the website it appears that the warranty goes via Jungle. Perhaps drop them a line warranty@jungleproducts.co.uk .
Point of note - theres no such thing as a 2020 Hightower LT...?
Ref the warranty, Jungle are the ones to speak to, I guess it depends if its been registered anywhere.
SC USA might also connect your frame number with their Polish Distributor which might mean your warranty would have to go through them?
, i was just looking at a very nice 2020 hightower lt cc frame yesterday, very nice indeed,
Or can you enlighten me on what frame i seen yesterday??
Thanks
I emailed Santa Cruz direct before buying my bronson from Germany. They confirmed as long as it was from an official dealer, warranty would be honoured worldwide. True to their word, when I had a fault with the frame it was replaced without question by jungle and they even upgraded me to the latest model.
Perfect thanks for the info its good to know
Regards
I got a chameleon from Spain, was 1/3 cheaper, warranty fine, as long as authorised dealer.
The clay coloured Lt is discounted on stif and pedal n spoke.
i was just looking at a very nice 2020 hightower lt cc frame yesterday
Hightower LT is a discontinued model - superseded by the Megatower - and has been since before Santa Cruz launched their 2020 range, so there's no such thing as a 2020 Hightower LT - it simply doesn't exist. You've either been looking at a 2019 (or older) Hightower LT, or a Megatower.
What colour was it? 2019's came in either light blue (Skye Blue) with brown/bronze decals, or brown (Clay) with black decals. 2018's came in a blue/grey (Slate) with cream decals, or a greeny-yellow (Wicklow Green) with black decals.
Isn’t the current V2 Hightower very similar to the old V1 Hightower lt though? In travel/geo etc, just not quite a mega tower?
Google 2020 Santa cruz hightower lt cc 👍
Comes in Highland blue or Sand colour, totally new VPP system as on the megatower etc
Cheers
That’s just called the Hightower now. The Hightower LT was replaced with the mega tower. 2020 29ers in ascending travel order are Tallboy / Hightower / Megatower
Ah ok i should of said 2020 hightower not 2020 hightower lt lol
Jungle and Stif are now owned by Santa Cruz.
Dragging up an old thread, but, I've just been told by my nearest SC dealership my warranty is only valid in the country it was bought in. I have to apply to the original shop (LTM Racing, Madrid) for my bearing replacement.
I have emailed Jungle, so will see how this pans out.

Lifetime Bearing Warranty

Santa Cruz Bicycles pivot bearings are warranted for life to the original owner of the bike. The return process is simple fill out our warranty form and attach a picture of your used bearings AND A PHOTO / PDF OF YOUR PROOF OF PURCHASE
We'll turn your package around within 48 hours, and cover the shipping back to you. That's it!
There's a form on the SC UK website, don't think you need to touch the dealer.
@oldcheshirecat your local SC shop are talking pish
Was going to get the local shop to fit the bearings, hence why going through them.
Sounds like you need a friendlier dealer. My mate has definitely had new bearings supplier for his German SC.
Id assume the bearings are free but the labour to fit isnt?
Yeah, that's how it works.
@oikeith, exactly that. @nobeer I also think they are talking pish, will have to wait and see what jungle say.
Jungle disagreed with everything the dealership said, and got a set of bearings sent out in the post within 2 days.
Also, said any frame warranty issues would be dealt with, regardless of where the frame was bought, as long as I was the original owner.
Needless to say, I went elsewhere to have the work done. Im sure they couldn't give a flying ****.
