Using an aerial with freeview.

A few days ago our TV lost all channels and wanted to re scan. Found that odd but let it do it and it was fine. Until now. It cant find any channels at all and cant view a channel list. Plugged in an old tv and that works fine so the aerial is not the problem.

Any ideas?

Might be a daft suggestion but is it definitely on the right input channel?

Sounds like the coax from the aerial to the TV has been damaged somehow...

It has two options: Cable or Freesat so have it on Cable.

Cable is fine. Checked it on another tv.

Wouldn't cable refer to a cable tv source? I'd expect to see an antenna or aerial option (note, I haven't got a Samsung TV)

Strange. Just went to rescan and 'terrestrial' is now there. All working now. I think there is still an issue though as it did the same a few days ago.

Mine did the same, I think it was atmospherics due to weather. High pressure and fog.
