Son has a galaxy A21, currently won't switch on or off, just fluctuates every couple if seconds between black screen and the screen that says Samsung galaxy A21 that would come on start up. Any suggestions if things to try please
Try holding the power button and volume down at sa same time and hold for about 10 seconds, should reboot it.
Ta no change still just the same, ugged in to charge and I got the charging symbol flashing on and off every few seconds
There should be a reset button somewhere around the edge that you can stick a paperclip into. You'll feel the button depress, then hold it for five or ten seconds. Should restart fine after that. Good luck!
I wouldn't start sticking paperclips in holes. You could damage a microphone or something 🙂
Sound like a bootloop. Happens sometimes if Android gets corrupted. Only way I've sorted that is to use Android recovery to wipe the phone and start again. Did your son have backups turned on 'cos it will remove any data too and he'll have to set everything up again from scratch 👎🏻

Ahaha I was trying to get a dim card out, wasn't really paying attention and jabbed the other tiny hole next to the sim tray. The tray didn't pop out so I pushed again and again harder.
so i spent ages last night trying to sort this, gave up went to bed, woke up this morning to the same flashing bootloop, he did the fingerprint swipe on back and it worked!!! slightly miffed at all the time i spent but at least its working......for now
