I've have Samsung S8 which has "Knox". I'm not sure exactly know it works but it appears to be a separate, secure folder I can install apps and store data that isn't available outside the Knox folder.
I use Knox for any work related apps/data I need to access plus my collection of dodgy videos I don't want Mrs Vlad to stumble across 😉
Anyway, whilst I've been very happy with the phone up to now, it isn't getting any security updates and the battery is dying. So, when looking for a replacement phone I need to consider (a) how to transfer apps/data
(b) whether phone has Knox or similar
So, has anyone upgraded one Samsung with Knox to another Samsung with Knox (if so, was the transfer seemless or at least easy?)
Or, if I don't get another Samsung, what options to other phone manufacturers have?
Ideally, I'd have a Pixel or something which I know will get security updates for many years as I don't swap phones very often
Google suit has a files app that has a built in secure folder. Stuffs saved on a SD card.

Yeah, secure folder just transferred across (S10 > S20)
Samsung is currently the undisputed king of software updates.

Thanks Johnny - that's reassuring that Samsung is pulling their finger out and providing reasonable ongoing support. My experience was that they've been very slow to offer OS and/or security updates
I think that Knox was an early example of the idea and it's now been integrated into Android and it's called 'work profile'.
I had S4 and then S7 before going away from Samsung for a while. I tempted back by the A71 and the new cleaner interface and promised updates. So far so good! Now have an S21 Ultra which is great, as it should be! 🤣
