They were cheap? Are you sure? I made the mistake of asking Saga for a household quote when I hit 50 and they were considerably more expensive than the regular competition. I got the distinct impression they were hoping they could rip me off on the basis of being "specialists" in insuring more mature people. It took me another two years to get my name off their database and put an end to the annoying calls and mailshots.
