Is there anywhere that might be considered safeish?
for how long? everyday commute or just a day? Personally never worry about my bike around there, but i guess it depends what you have and what you lock it with?
Safe? In Bristol? Just use a decent lock on any of the numerous racks and you'll be doing as much as you can. Though I personally wouldn't leave anything more valuable than a pub bike or a commuter.
There's a rack on the traffic island. A decent lock there should be ok. You have to be pretty brazen to attack a lock there. Still not 100% though.
For daytime use Muddock has secure storage with changing rooms and showers. About a 5 min walk.
There are plenty of Sheffield stands opposite Browns and outside the student caff on Queens Rd. The Museum has a couple of locking points on its forecourt, and the fencing outdie the Wills building can be used. I'd recommend the last option.
Mud Dock is a good shout but I'd say it's more like a 15 minute walk to the Triangle.
Probably saw two or three thefts a year in my lunch hour when I worked on the triangle - luckily my office building put secure bike 0asking in the statue room.
You could ask the bike shop (can't remember the name ) that's there?
My bike was locked for less than 3 hours on the traffic island by the triangle opposite Browns, decent lock though front and back wheels. Some **** must have come along with a set of allen keys and nicked my thomson stem and front disk caliper. Made for a long walk home. Wallop is right, pub bike only for max peace of mind.
