Is there an way to change the helpful Google search box in the toolbar so that it searched google.co.uk, rather than google.com?

you can install [url= http://www.inquisitorx.com/safari/index_en.php ]Inquisitor[/url] it will then suggest searches or search which ever engine you specify in preferences

install glims, it does a load of other userful stuff as well like adding fullscreen mode

I've just uninstalled Inquisitor after reading a bit more about the behavior of its creator and his manipulation of the results to suit his needs.

Install Firefox. Much as I love my Mac, I find Safari infuriating, Firefox is way better.
