I know the Ozzies are playing Italy first (5:30am here in SA) and Ireland and playing the Yanks (8:30 here) but it's the Boks against Wales I'm really looking forward to . . .

So, both teams take their sport very seriously, but who has the form?

Its already spoilt by the picking of Charteris and Faletau imo

I really have no option but to go for Wales at this moment in time.
Form and history count for nothing.

That's what people here are saying Houns - but they do get a bit big headed at times 😮

why?

because Charteris isnt half as good as Bradley Davies and because Faletau is only 12 and has played like a 12 year old in all his games for Wales.

There's a thread here Welsh Rugby with some funny stuff on it.

RE: Welsh Team vs South Africa
Hook at 15, charteris and Faletau starting. I may cry now.

Had heard a rumour that Bradley was injured, didn't want to believe it

I've had a little bet on Wales. Odds were too good to miss especially with some of the interesting results so far!

I have a fiver on Wales, unfortunately that means an almost certain win for the Boks.

Bollix. USA try at the end put a dampener on it. Disappointed not to get the bonus. Meh.

Don't worry manxambassador, I don't think the Welsh be coming to you for answers if we lose.

What happened dd? The Irish tries looked alright. The USA at the end was simply concentration, no? It's the ref who tells you when the game finishes. 😕

This promises to be the best match of the tournament so far, two big rugby nations, one northern and one sourhern hemisphere.
I really hope we are going to see some good rugby, too many good sides have looked below average in their openers.
But it is still early days and there is lots of rugby to be played and time to find form.

As for who will win today???

The Bokke al the way!!!

Certainly not the walk over the first 3 minutes seemed to indicate.

Yes SST, I'm a Saffa. Beauty of a try, then not much to cheer about. But I'm not doubting them. Good effort from Wales so far. Come on Bokke, more of the first 5 mins...

We look a bit more dangerous now we're actually running onto the passes rather than the lack of progress of the first half.

Great game! Tense, edge of seat stuff.
Well done Wales, played like a team possessed.
Relieved the Bokke survived, we won with 2 tries to 1, but good grief, was it close!? 😮

Who would you guys say for Man of the Match?

Interesting NZCol. I still think that there are far more positives to be taken, a missed drop goal and a gap wide enough to drive a bus through giving away a try. Wales will have some fine tuning but Samoa will have to rethink.

Breadman was MOM and rightly so, he at the very least matched Brossow. Lydiate is a tackling machine too and Roberts was immense.

MOM - take your pick! Weslh back 3, Roberts, Priestland...the list goes on.

Was a cracking game and if the Aussies win their group and Wales go through, I'm sure they'll be thinking twice after watching that game.

Proud of them!

Just got in now. Riding today, when i left Wales were 16-10 up and completely dominating the Saffers - i would have put money on a Welsh win.
From what i saw, absolutely brilliant effort from Wales, everything was working for them at that point.

Contrast that with England's lacklustre win against an admittedly physical Argentine side.

So, what have we learnt?

Scotland have an absolutely terrible defense that will cost them dearly against a more experienced team.
Ireland, not a good day out considering i not so long ago saw England's 3rd string put 63 points past the Eagles at Edgeley Park.
England are slow, sluggish and only seem interested in 'route 1'.
Wales definitely the best of the bunch this weekend by a bloomin' large mile.

Damn windy out there, should have stayed and watched the rest of the game 🙁

fekin gutted!

bloody english ref.... even my 15 month old daughter cheered when hooks disallowed conversion went over 😉

in all seriousness that was better than i hoped for, SA looked so rattled at one point i was amazing... also many young lads in th eteam which is bloody great!

as gatland said "wales have been knocking on the door for ages"

just that last bit of concentration and tiny percentage is needed to finish it off.

grand slam next year!
