I've started jogging again after a 3 year gap and my once comfy socks are now giving me blisters - same trainers, same feet, same socks so I'm a bit miffed.
Can anyone recommend a supportive sock for road/trail use that doesn't give blisters?
I've never tried the two-layer socks - are they any good?
cheers
yup, I've got several pairs. the Hilly Twinskins are comfy but they can wear out fairly quickly. I've got dri-fit ones too, they're all good.

I've been using these;

Mainly because the lovely people at Smartwool gave me a big old bag of socks and there were a few pairs of these in there. (Their ski socks are all of teh orsumnezz!)
Nicely padded, well ventilated, and the merino is good and breathable on my plates.
I can't stand the double layer socks - they give me grief every time. I use the Hilly single skin or Smartwool. Mrs TT likes the toe socks for running.
You might want to treat yourself to new trainers as well. 3 years is a long time and yes, your feet might have changed a little.
thanks
Wool has its place, but for road running its not ideal I find. Nike dry fit and the pricey end of this range are superb on the road http://www.decathlon.co.uk/running-socks-running-sports.html
