There have been a few running threads, so thought I'd start my own. Been following a couch to 5k app and want to progress it. Apart from the 10k app, any recommendations? The Nike run plus seems a lot of complicated faff. No trails to ride from my door, so running it is. General fitness being the main goal.

Does that not just record what you do? Bit lazy and easier to follow a program, for me.

Has plenty of training plans including 10k ones. And the game element keeps things interesting if your runs have got boring.

Podrunner has some nice mixes as MP3 files. Either fixed tempo, or intervals, or various programmes. There's one for building up to 10k. http://www.podrunner.com/

Just trying to get back into running, I have STRAVA (the one true app), but I like the sound of the zombie run game!
