Trying to get a sub 24 5k. Continually hovering high 24. I’ve access to a treadmill at the works gym during lunch. Is there an app that can help with training? Intervals etc that time efforts/rest periods?

Honestly 90% of it is just a matter of running more miles. Might be better off finding something to watch on telly if it means t you spend more time on it!

I use Runkeeper on my phone - there’s a “challenge” on there called the ASICS Pace Academy (Link). Mixture of intervals, target times etc. Worked for me - has taken my 5k time to the mid 23s from mid 24s. Looks like you can just use it through their website rather than the app too

If you have access to a treadmill that means you have time to get outside.

No serious runner trains in a treadmill just nothing like as good.

Someone I know via a different forum that’s represented wales in ultra running used/uses treadmills.

Whenever he’s posted something about it on Facebook it always seemed to be interval training.
