So I have a touch of Runner's Knee (patellofemoral syndrome)(no I'm not a runner).
Has anyone had any success with this?
I've tied improving hamstrings, quad and abductor mobility but it's not going away.
Also trying to strengthen my VMO,
If asking random strangers doesn't help, I may see another Physio.
edit - got it mixed up with jumpers knee (patella tendinopathy)
Yes. Which part of your knee hurts and when? Do you spend lots of time sitting down?
Strengthen your glutes (medius particularly) as well as your HS and quads. Combination of open and closed chain, balance work and unilateral not just bilateral.
It’s typically a chronic inflammation, so rest is the first priority. Treatment with anti-inflammatories and RICE can help IME. If it is caused by cycling, spinning lower gears and dropping your saddle slightly can help as well as slowly building back up - it is often caused by sudden increases in training intensity.
Can we time share swap with my plantar?
I'm a year in to not being able to even jog, current got jester splint sytle socks for nights, bouht an ice pack just for my foot and doing lots of short walks, attempting 20min every day in August.
I didnt really like running but served a purpose and riding to park run on a sat morning was a good mornings exercise. Kind of miss it now.
