TTS jnr (9yr old F) cross country and fell runner.. competative capable but cant replicate training speeds in race conditions as she fall in with those around her and runs at thier pace not the pace she can replicate km after km every night ( thats 3 k alternate nights)
we use Strava so have a reasonble idea of her pace whilst training and although we can only calculate a speed for races distance / time they fall short of the training times
SO ( if your still with me).. is there a wrist watch type monitor that can relay her speed in km's so she can see visibly that shes running slower than she can..
At 9 years old, as long as the child is enjoying it, fulfilling parental ambition can wait. Just my opinion, like.
Garmin forerunner 10?
But as skinny steel says, maybe she is having fun chatting to her pals and is enjoying herself
