Looking at swapping off runflat tyres to normal on our Mini. Can I do it two at a time or do I need to swap all four? New Minis and some BMWs now come with runflats as an option.
I thought the whole point of run flats on the Mini was that there wasn't a spare tyre should you get a puncture?
You can do it two at a time providing those two are on the same axle i.e. 2 x front or 2 x rear
They make a difference to the ride and handling - the axle with the standard tyres will generate marginally MORE grip due to the slightly more flexible sidewall. It will be very difficult to spot but that probably means you'd be wiser to do the rear tyres first and front tyres second.
Yeah, we would have to get a can of tyreweld. Figured we would swap the rear tyres first.
