Anyone else watching? Can’t beat a home World Cup.
Hard to see past an England/NZ final but I hope the rest of the home nations can put on a good show.

We’ve been to Cardiff to see a few of the W6N matches and they are good fun, more variety in play and player sizes than the men’s game.

We were at the game! Good game for a while but a blow out in the end.

Mrs OD wants to point out the toilet issue of holding a game when the majority of the crowd are women

Missed out on final tickets but will look got official resales.  We saw England win the world cup in Paris for would be nice to repeat in Twickenham

In a football stadium where women's toilet provision is significantly less than for men

Yeah, the toilet issue is the same at the Arms Park - lots of extra portaloos needed. Principality isn’t too bad.

Mad to think there were 42k people there tonight. The 2017 World Cup sold 45k tickets for the WHOLE tournament!

Wales/Scotland tomorrow. Probably won’t be able to watch it live but should be a good match. There’s a good bit of niggle between the teams and both squads have had recent behind the scenes issues to deal with.

Good weekend of fixtures in the WRWC just gone - lots of  competitive games.

It's reinforces the fact there are a top 4 teams of which  England a step above the others but not to the degree they can't be beaten in a one off game.

Then a second tier of around 8 nations who can give each other a good game

Below this a load of developing nations, not all of whom qualified for the world cup, who could push on give the chance

The more the gap closes between the top 4 and the more the second tier can close on the top tier the better for the game.  Also important the third tier get lots of competitive game time to expand the game generally.

If Women's rugby can build from this world cup then it's looking good for the world game.

I dislike the mismatches but that happens in the mens game as well.  I love the atmosphere generate and the body positivity messages coming from the players

Am I allowed to think that the women’s rugby is a better spectator sport than the men’s?

It reminds me of how good a good men’s game could be before professionalism.

(To be fair there were bad games too in the amateur days)

Of course you are… but maybe you’re not watching the right matches? The Rugby Championship has been an absolute classic this season.

Come on the Red Roses!

I can't see either of these teams challenging Canada next weekend.

Commentators are destroying the match officials at the moment too!

I wouldn't say its that easy to call a World Cup Final!

England struggle against  fast recycled ball, tight passing and broken field running. France showed this again but couldn't just click at vital moments

But that fast loose game was what Canada brought to the the first 50 minutes of their semi.

That said England's defence is very strong and being pushed by France will have been really beneficial.

Looks like it will be pretty competitive next week.  Really regretting not buying tickets when they first came available

It was probably a harsh judgement at the time. I think it's going to be an interesting runners up and final match this weekend. I'm hopeful the red roses do it though!

Do'h!  1st try to Canada.

p/s: Excellent play from "big hair" Kildunne! England touch down!

England 2nd touchdown! Try! LOL!

That game threw up an awkward problem rugby has with scrums at the moment.

Namely too many penalties.

It is right and proper that a strong scrum should win the ball back if they out scrummage their opponents.

But to get a penalty nigh on every time?

The rules need looking at. And the one about feeding at the scrum too.

Great game, especially Hannah Botterman getting herself carded adding a bit of spice when England were dominating.

Great tournament all round really.
