Hope Charteris is ok. Don't want to see injuries for either side. Feeling strangely philosophical now. No way we're going to win with 3 points from all that possession and territory.

Been watching F1 qualifying.
Anyone care to give me a quick summary of the 1st half? Supporting Ireland - am I going to be upset when the adverts finish? Reading back a few posts I fear it's not going well. 😥

Higgo, brutal stuff. Welsh defense is the key so far.

Second that. These teams clearly represent the best chance for the NH. Chin up DD, you've had lots of the ball at least 😉

Its a shame both teams cant be eliminated after this game as the skill level and decision making of both teams are seriously below the levels expected at this stage of the cup.Still if u like kick and clap football i guess it of a standard to be expected.

Game on.

Coasting is in a parallel universe which is 2 hours ahead and is obviously watching the next game.

brakes, how are they going to do it?

BOD could mix it up with a little dinking kick through the wall, confuse things then get the ball to the winger?
Wales need to get straight back at them now.

If it was an Irish try, this has to be too. 😉
I think Coasting's actually basing his in depth analysis on a 30 second section of this game... 🙄

Game over you'd have to say.

One score down with a quarter of the game to go - there's nothing like the pessimism of a true fan.

Oh well. Fair play to Wales. No complaints or excuses here. Better side wins on the day - thankfully no controversial tries or reffing decisions to muddy the waters. All the best to Wales for next weekend. They should go all the way to the final on this performance.

The green machine can go home with their heads held high.

great game!
Wales were just impenetrable, and the Phillips try was SO well timed.
Could Ireland have been a bit more innovative with their tactics?

Great game for the neutral. Just wanted to see another Irish try to make the last 10 interesting, but the Wales defence was phenomenal. Pretty tempted to skip the England game and just watch that again 🙂

Could Ireland have been a bit more innovative with their tactics?

TBH, I can't see what they could have changed. It was game-over for me when they went in 10-3 down at half time. With all that ball and possession in the first half, they should have gone in ahead. Wales were simply too strong in defence and took three great chances when presented - that's where the difference lay today.

Proper game of rugby. Pity one of us had to go out.

Sorry, I have to go quiet for the rest of the day lads. I'm off on holiday for the week thankfully, to somewhere I can forget about rugby for a while. I'll be cheering Wales on next week though - they're mrs deadly's team. I'm a bit gutted (for some of the green machine that won't see another RWC) but like I said, no complaints whatsoever - Wales were awesome today. And given the ferocious defences, there was no ill discipline, nothing for anyone to whinge about for the next few days. Just a great advert for our two nations' rugby.

Cymru am Byth

(or whatever it is you say)
