I was totally expecting to be up with the baby at 4am and watching the first game, but got woken up at 7.30, so only caught the last 40 minutes of the Fiji game.

It's such a shame that they persist in playing 7s style rugby when they are playing 15s. They make great moves but there is no organisation to follow it up. SA looked tidy enough. Glad to see Burger dropped on his head. It should happen more often.

Anyway, I've got complete confidence in Ireland. Let's get the 2nd rows lying on the ball, back row in from the side. It's allowed in this game. C'mon guys, you can up your game, and history shows you are good enough to beat Australia..... And please gods of rugby, there's no reason to give us another turgid game - these are two entertaining sides.

Lucky penalty. PO'C didn't exactly roll way.

And Sexton misses again. 🙄

Does anyone reckon these balls have been made specially to force teams to score tries, as they can't rely on kicks????

Not looking too bad from the green machine. I'm with O'Flashearty in loving drop goals. Still see Australia getting back into it and scoring tries though.

But there is yet another horrendous 'tache out there, sported by Oz #15...

Gripping stuff so far...

The tactic of holding the opposition up has resulted in two turnovers so far. 😯

Must be great reffing at this level. Two TJ'S (Touch judges NOT tandemjeremys...shiver...)Video ref and not having to constantly instruct.Even at premier level in Scotland I would be telling the above penalised player to "roll away tackler" Ref just let him do it,stuck an arm out...Breath saved for keeping up with players 😀

No.

...or maybe yes, as it's only Irish indiscipline that has made it 6-6.

Am i right in thinking that if wales finish second in their group they will play the winner of the aus/ire group, both look pretty ordinary.Samoa game will prob be tougher.

Crazy penalty count 9-5 against Aus. I'd have thought we'd leak them like a sieve. Gonna be a cracking last 15. Whatever the result Ireland can be pleased.
