What is it with the itv coverage that they have to constantly have micro-replays or shots of the crowd. Very irritating.

I'm guessing the feed is from French TV.

Only England to feasibly beat them,

Lol ha ha very funny.

I'm half expecting to see something promising from England this 6N. They play Ireland at home, gives them a very good chance imho.

France look a bit like the 2017 vintage rather than the team of 2022-2023

They're missing DuPont big time. Lucu hasn't been good enough today. Obvs not all his fault, Wilemse has to take the blame!

Ireland did have a good run out against Tigers a couple of weeks ago though.

Fair play to the Ireland team, that was some performance. Massive from Joe McCarthy. Jack Crowley playing like he's always been there. Nash getting a try. Biggest ever win away to France by a huge margin.

Still struggling to decide, I mean Ireland are a very very good side but France seemed really poor tonight.

I thought France looked very ring rusty and never got any better as the match went on. Not the excitement fest I was hoping for....

I just thought it was very dominant from Ireland at key times. Some massive performances, back row and locks were immense.

Tournament over realistically.

And I can see England having a tough game this weekend as well. The battle for the wooden spoon could be quite closely run!

Sadly, I think Wales are favourites to come last this year ☹️

Today is going to be so miserable. Living in Scotland, I'd rather lose to Italy than Scotland.

There is no way Wales should win today. Scotland should come and win by 30+ points. However, Scotland have a special 'super power' in ****ing things up in Cardiff - that is the only slither of hope I can cling onto.

Just watched the 6 minute highlights of the 2014 game, where Hogg got sent off for his cheap shot on Biggar - 53 : 3 🤞🤞🤞😜

I guess it’s happened before, but I haven’t seen it. I think Willemse managed to get a yellow and a red card did he?

The first yellow stayed yellow but the second was upgraded to a red?

I thought it was 2nd yellow = a red

I'm currently watching the Wales v Scotland U20's game on iPlayer. Half-time and it's a cracking game so far. Very evenly matched. The U20 games are often a good watch, there's a good pace to them. Some great skills on show and some promising looking players on both sides.

I think he got the first red because he got the 2nd yellow. The 2nd yellow then got upgraded to a red in its own right. So it was one yellow and one red instead of two yellows and therefore a red.

Although I'm not sure why the first one wasn't a straight red.

Ever since 2010 I've been waking up in the middle of the night screaming, 'No, Shane, no! Why!!??'

I’ll be at Páirc Uí Chaoimh for the Munster v Crusaders game this afternoon. Both teams missing their best players but should still be a top day out. There were a few Crusaders fans on our flight last night but the stadium will be very red. Forecast also not for thick Munster rain/mist so should be able to see the whole pitch which makes a change!

Agreed. I’m hoping to take my boy to see England v Ireland at the Rec in Bath. Their game last year in the U20 6N in Cork was a cracker.

I'm assuming the Willemse red was still judged and decided for disciplinary reasons - he may be screwed for the next two games for his silliness. An accumulated red from two yellows would have him back for the next match.

France looked hollowed out, but Ireland looked shaky occasionally. If France were at full strength for the match it would have been close...

Or I may be hoping against another Irish grand slam.

Should be great 👍

Can't see the France v Ireland U20's on iPlayer - has it been played yet?

Flicked through the Italy England game, but it wasn't as evenly balanced as the Wales v Scotland game unfortunately. The England players look mahoosive (huge!!!!).

This! So yeah he got yellow, then another yellow which = a red. Second yellow then subsequently upgraded to Red after bunker review. First one looked worse to me! Hell of an effort for 31 minutes (10 of which he was off the pitch)

Hard to see past Ireland really now. There doesn't half seem to be some optimistic views about England 😳 No Lawes and Curry, nor the entire first choice midfield means that it'll be a tough tournament imo. Can't see us beating Ireland, realistically who from England would get in an Ireland XV? Ben Earl and Jamie George are probably the form players currently and hard to see a case for them. Itoje would struggle to replace James Ryan on their bench!

I thought Willemse's second card last night was a straight red (not a second yellow resulting in a red). He had another questionable hit on Porter before that too IIRC.

The positives of being Scottish currently playing like we think we are Irish.

The negatives, final score Wales 35 Scotland 23.

I wonder how many of our young prospects are currently on the phone to the Cincinnati Bengals about the possibility of a trial.

As soon as the opposition crowd start getting into it Scotland go to pieces. Every. Single. Time. They don't ****ing deserve to win against Norway.

I know Jiffy is one eyed but he seemed even worse than normal today. Great pundit but not when Wales are playing.

1st 1/2 I thought Scotland had to be 20 points up for me not to be anxious. I have now revised that to 30 points for any game against Wales.

Good on Jiffy giving MoM to Wainright, rather than the number 10 of the winning side as with most pundits.

Indeed, but getting beat by better teams isn't as bad as losing games we should win.

The Welsh pack that rinsed Scotland second half was what Wainwright, Mann, Reffel, Jenkins, Teddy Williams, Asserati, Dee and Domochowski who played the full 80....that's a rank bad pack and the played scotland off the park second half....

Wainwright is a very good player, Reffell is decent the others are either kids or not very good.

Ioan Lloyd did well as did Winnett, he in particular looks to have a big future especially if he can add a bit of muscle. Tomos Williams has to start next week as well.

Rowlands will hopefully be back next week as well as Gareth Thomas and North.

wales team released early (yesterday)

Wales team to face England: Winnett; Dyer, North, Tompkins, Adams; Lloyd, Williams; Thomas, Dee, Assiratti, Jenkins (capt), Beard, Mann, Reffell, Wainwright.

Replacements: Elias, Domachowski, Griffin, Rowlands, Basham, Hardy, Evans, Grady.

good to see Gats has rewarded the players that made the impact (other than Domachowski) and surprised to see that he's favouring Hardy over davies for the bench - although gareth davies was pretty poor last week and is too slow to get the ball away

Also I look at that Wales team and think it's so shit I could cry but even worse I cannot really think of any better options 😥
