Erasmus needs a life ban I've just caught up on it all he is apparently appealing the outcome cheeky boy. What ref will got to south Africa now to run a game you would need danger money 🤑

Looking forward to the Wales game. I’m in Snowdonia to do some road rides, will make sure I’m in a pub for kick off.
Work and family commitments meant I’ve been out of the loop with Rugby Union for the last year so won’t have a clue who have of the players are!

Don't worry about it, Wales have so many injuries just now 60k folk in Cardiff will be in the same boat.

In other news Japan actually have a player shorter than Darcey Graham! Their scrum half is 6cm closer to the ground. Shouldn't the pair of them be making toys for Santa at this time of year?

The SA 9 is 5'5.5" so shorter than D'Arcy too. (I'm 5'6" and D'Arcy was taller than me last time I spoke with him.)

Another weekend missing the live rugby : (

Well done Hogg in becoming the highest Scotland try scorer, with 25 tries so far.

(That’s 3 more than Colin Charvis managed for Wales! 😉).

Scotland lucky to get out of that. Japan were immense at times.

Hardly lucky! We let Japan back in with some loose play but we were always in control. Not entirely convincing tho - something is just not clicking in the backs.

Japan are not easybeats anymore. They're a solid level 1 team. They've won some big upsets in the last five years and even their losses have generally been fairly close.

If France beat NZ today, my moneys on Jamie Joseph coaching NZ at the next WC.

Why bite TJ? 4 tries to 1 and they were never closer than 6 points in the second half. We controlled the tight and won even while being daft enough to play their game. Blooded new caps as well.

SA haven't got much attack wise. If England stop making mistakes they will win this comfortably

Fair point by Etzebeth, what was Lee's doing on the pitch trying to start a fight?

I don't think I've seen Itoje play without a cap, when / why does he take that off? I noticed last week too.

😀

To be fair to England, despite losing the scrum a few line outs and most mauls, we actually defended really well and attacked a lot better than them. Could have gone either way.

Outstanding result for England after a brilliant game and despite giving far too many penalties away.

If SA trusted their backs more they would be so much better ( notwithstanding they are World Champions)

They have such a rigid game plan that a good side should be able to unpick to them if stay disciplined and mix it up

Daughter #1 got an Amazon account (I don’t think I’ve ever loved her more 😀) and so I saw the last 20 minutes of England v SA. I thought it was entertaining.

Now for Wales v Aus, this could be a painful watch.

Yellow!

You need to know your colours when you watch Wales play 😀

How many times do you need to watch that?

Rugby laws are weird. You can randomly slap at a ball with no attempt at control and if it goes backwards, all good, but if it goes forward it's a yellow card.

Is that weird?
You can pass it backwards, but pass it forwards, it’s a scrum to the other side… weird!

Seems weird to me. It's the "no attempt to control it"...ever so slightly different from passing, but you probably know that 🙄

t’s the “no attempt to control it”…ever so slightly different from passing, but

Its a quirke of the law to do with interceptions, if you try to intercept and sort of catch it (ie attempt to control) but then drop it forward, thats just a knock on. But if you were never going to intercept and just **** it in mid air, and it goes forward, then thats a deliberate knock on and is foul play.

That has to be the dumbest ten mins of idiotic rugby I have ever seen from Wales and believe me I've seen some shite. They were so stupid I'm surprised they didn't take a scrum at that final pen!!

An I right in saying that the Welsh supporters are getting excited over a 1 point win over an Australian team that was down by 1 man for much of the game?

Now that red was definitely a red by the laws. Do they need to relook at the 20mins and replacement rule? Or does that mean we might need a deliberate red and a technical red?

Why? If you’ve done something so dangerous, your team should be punished.

No, the players need to tackle lower, Beard is about 18 foot tall and he still nutted him. No excuse

Edited to add I'd have red carded the Welsh replacement loose head too.

They are going to be hard to beat at the pace Thay played today.

Fra NZ was a cracking game of rugby. Not often do I want France to win a match but they were excellent. If they don’t win the 6N at a canter then something is wrong…

OK watched most of Wales v Australia, missed the red card. I thought Aussies were the better team.
I watched the Scotland game and thought it was our worst performance this autumn. Japan played at high tempo and were able to disrupt Scotland's possession. Scotland were no more than a 5/10. Aside from the stupid mistakes and poor discipline,it really was back to auld claes an porage.

I thought both Russell and Price were poor, that probably makes all the other backs struggle. Noted Hogg laying down the law to Russell about kicking for goal and not touch with two minutes left on the clock.

Edit my mistake 8min left

The Wales Oz red card was an example of how people don't seem to have got to grips with the idea that its the tacklers responsibility to be safe. If Valetini is going in to tackles that high he needs some time to relearn his technique.
