Earls dropped that ball btw, very dodgy grounding and it should have been reviewed.

Nonsense. Not even close. all he has to do is be in contact with it as it hits the ground. Not even close to a gap between his hand and the ball

They were not that great against France either TBH, lucky with try at the end.

They weren't even very good against a very poor Italy

The antagonism on here is so frustrating. Surely we can let people have an opinion that we might not agree with, regardless if you think they are wrong. Especially as so many of the points discussed are subjective.
One thing I think we all agree on though is England are poor!

If the wales one wasn't a knock on, neither was that.
However maybe they've revised the reffing. It went forward, but he knocked it back, and we all now know that's a knock on...

And the Ireland second row, played 6 as well is a nailed on lion. He’s been immense

Kind of a shame about the knock on, as it was a great kick and incredible finish, would have been a legendary one for Keet.

Farrell theatrics coming back to haunt him. I'm quite embarrassed by this schoolboy rugby.

Anyway, lets have a few beers and watch the proper match later - vive la France!

Ireland will give England a lesson today

No-one gives England a lesson, because that would indicate you learn from it. Instead, same old list of bad discipline, silly technical infringements, inability to get/stay on the right side of the ref, and when we do have the ball we kick it away again

Is this the same group Jones said were world beaters last week? I'm afraid the inability to learn and the reversion to a flawed game plan time and again lands at his door. Time to go I think.

Red, I dunno if this is fair.

IF we win, it will always be remembered as the game we lost really..

Wales had already hit the comeback button before the card. It was a closer game.
England have never really been in this.

I don’t think England will win. Need two converted tries plus a penalty so unlikely even against 14 men. England don’t have a cohesive team on the pitch either - players out of position.

Was a red card.

With England playing this poorly you could take 3 or 4 Irish players off 🙂

So if England lose this they're fifth in the table. Think that would be their worst result for year's.

Looked like there might have been some hand to head action, all be it probably with open hand but looked like it might have had force.

Great result. Ireland outplayed them.

Genge and Sinckler are just liabilities, why do they persevere with them?

[quote=Tjagain] Ireland have the perfect game to counter Englands stodge Kick deep and hope for mistakes or kick to touch and pressure lineouts just will not work against ireland and Farrell in the centres takes away all the pace from the attack

For once I made a prediction that was right!

England really need a big review after the 6N. they should be challenging for the title every year with the players they have but the tactics are wrong and so is the selection. The players look like they know the tactics are wrong.

In the first ten minutes of the second half chasing the game england 3 times had decent possession in irelands half and 3 times kicked it away. Its obviously the plan they have been told to play to but by 'eck is crap

The kick game has been worked out for years, I don't know why EJ persists with it. He needs to go.

Genge and Sinckler are just liabilities

Nothing wrong with Sinckler, he's one of the best props in the game currently. Genge needs to see a psychologist though...

Genge grinding elbow and forearm into face on the deck at 76:40 definitely should be off the pitch. Green player prone and trapped.

TJ you'd have greater respect from people if you promoted you own wins rather than celebrating other peoples losses you profit from. Its pretty poor character TBH.

he really isn't. He is a decent international prop but no more. Ireland had the edge in the scrums all game

Just finished watching the game. I was wrong, it was good viewing. England were lucky with the cards otherwise the score could have been ugly.
They should award an anti-triple crown 😂

Kryton - lighten up mate. Its been a disappointing series for Scotland. We have to take what crumbs we have

In the 6N for all the home teams beating england will allways be the big one. Its just something England fans have to live with . Your biggest rival is always your big brother

To have beaten England away and to finish below them would have been desperately disappointing

Yes he is. You do know there's 8 people in a scrum right? Several years as an international and a Lion, and you're saying he's crap? Lol!

England were clueless, just lost tactically and unable to think on their feet.

Ireland were more physical, more imaginative and looking for continuity rather than just bashing up first or second receiver.

The worrying thing is, that's not news. Even Wooward(!) said, someone needs to be asking EJ questions.

I didn't say he was crap - he is a good international standard but he is not "one of the best in the game" unless you are including a dozen players in that category.

He is one of the best props in the loose.

As Sirs Clive and Jonny said, England need a refresh.
Totally new playmaker at 10 in my view. Not sure who that is, and a world class 9 would help. Other 6n teams have world class in those positions, England not.

Hoping for a great decider match, wouldn't mind either winning

unable to think on their feet

I don't think it's even that. I wonder if they're 'terrified' to drop the EJ mandated plan. In the end he picks the squad and the team, and if you don't do what he says you won't be in it.

Which I get (unless you're France) then team before self and you need a tactical plan. Yes, there's a problem with execution and discipline, but that aside the plan sucks..... in the end the man that decides the plan has to take the blame.

Ford is a good playmaker, possibly the best passer of the ball in England. Needs a good pack (as do most 10’s) and good service.

I have seen it that a few players have argued with EJ and been told they will never play for England again - Mike Brown being one.

It’s amazing that last week all the media were talking about England and France being by far the best two teams in the competition! The first half was supposedly the best rugby since England v New Zealand in the World Cup semifinal... yawn!

For once I made a prediction that was right!

You got the winners right, but I don't agree with the reason.
England's kicks and lineout pressure provided great opportunities in spades. They just ****ed them right up.

JD2 and North are such big game players.

LRZ looking class again, showing even more facets to his game.

Falateau having a good game.

The Gareth Davies ‘no try’ was as good as Itoje’s

did they get the ball back once of a kick? did they steal a single lineout in attacking positions?

sorry dude - it played out just as I predicted. If ireland don't drop high balls then england have just given the ball away.
