Halaholo has done his acl and is out for the season, poor ****er, looked so innocuous too.
Ospreys looking for a new coach, anyone fancy it? AA?
I wonder how many games T’eo will bother playing for them? He was a proper waste of money for Worcs; always injured until the international games were on the horizon. ****.
Ospreys looking for a new coach, anyone fancy it? AA?
No thanks, I'm sure some work experience kid can be found!!
More seriously, if he has walked fair enough, if he's been sacked for having half the team made unavailable by WRU and the other hslf injured then that is shit.
Deck chairs titanic
Semi Radradra to Bristol!
Oh my.
Semi Radradra to Bristol!
Oh my.
Was just about to post that that’s a hell of a signing for them. They’ve got to be sailing dean close to the cap with their signings.
Worcester are going to struggle to stay up. They’re one one team that really lack the superstars. Even Irish have snaffled some big names.
Worcester have meatball playing for them - surely a superstar 😉

In all fairness he’s been a bloody good signing especially compared to some of the shit previously signed at flyhalf like Ryan Lamb or Shane Drahm.
Saracens have been asked to open their books about this seasons wages too. Too right. If they were in breach of the cap previously, they’re surely over it this season too having signed Daly etc.
Bristol are looking pretty awesome already, signing Radradra will only make them better.
My money is still on Tigers going down, its a long season but they are looking all at sea. It'll be interesting to see how they face up to a decent Saints side this weekend.
mindamp - the only disadvantage of rehabilitating meatball is that he might get called up for Scotland. I am not thinking much of Hastings right now and we could do with meatball on form
Edinburgh beat Munster. I do not care if it was Munsters youth team - we won!
In other news Blues just performed outright robbery against Benneton. Stole the game with the last play, never stopped fighting
Ospreys chairman Rob Davies says British and Irish league will be in place from 2022

What planet is he on? There is no way on earth the English clubs will share their pot of gold, it would ruin the euro cup. NOt much in it for the pro 14 teams either.
There is no way on earth the English clubs will share their pot of gold
Cvc investing in both is a real turning point, why are the investing in the poo 12 or 14 or whatever it is this week?
'cos everyone apart from the welsh love the league
Glasgow attempting to beat Leinster without scoring any points from kicks. Good luck with that, lads.
Premier Sports introducing Zander Fagerson as the 2010 Scottish Downhill Mountain Biking Champion.
I knew he was a downhiller but I wasn't aware he won anything.
Indeed - and Mad McMata dropped a scoring pass. YOu cannot leave points on the ground against Leinster and thats 2 conversions, a try and a penalty missed
Yup Zander is a true renaissance man. He was also part of an award winning choir
Mind you at his size he must have had an advantage downhill
Ah, 12 - 14 boys category according to Roots and Rain. Jesus, I'm old.
cos everyone apart from the welsh love the league
Is that both the supporters or does it include the dog too?

Just watching baabaas v wales, what an absolute **** if a ref Owens is. Clear tip tackle, play lands on head/neck and he doesnt even look at it!! Its player safety you idiot!
Andy Goode back on the field...

Lol.
Just read his Wiki entry and he is allegedly lighter than me. Now while I am 6"3" There is no danger he isn't a lot heavier than the quoted 15 stone 4lbs. I think you can add VAT to that claimed weight.
Found this pretty shocking, especially as it happened twice and the ref did nothing!

That's a bit ****tishness there.
Interestingly, post protectors are not mandatory in the laws though.
However, shithousery is probably covered by:
#9.11, Players must not do anything that is reckless or dangerous to others. or
#9.27 A player must not do anything that is against the spirit of good sportsmanship.

So instead of fighting it Rugby Australia have basically said, 'Well, he was at least partly right.'

I see Gatland is looking for a warm up game for the Lions in the UK. We could play them, put out a full strength team as well because we won't be troubling the squad. Just think; Russell may be a European cup winner by then, it would be good to see him try and outwit Kieran Hill.*
*Kieran Hill plays for Cross Keys at 10, the bottom club in the Welsh prem, but still going to get the call before Finn.
Wasps are total dog poo this season. Can’t say I’m looking forward to return fixture at the Ricoh next week which I have tickets for.
Bath are dog poo. Pretty good first half, ate my curry and suddenly they 17 points down.
Sarries look in course for a dicking tomorrow resting some of the big names.
Bath need a coach, Hooper is getting schooled every week.
Nice start today
Ch4 on now
Mindmap3 are you at sixways today?
Lovely conditions today. Loads of players around the grounds, the boys have already been given chocolates by will butler and Duncan weir. Should be a good day
This was only going to end one way...

Bashed him bro!
Shame he's been playing well recently, only a young lad, hope no one was hurt.
Thought this was very harsh, catcher misses and starts tofall backwards which inevitably brings his leg up, bloke runs into it with his face whilst being nowhere near to challenging for the ball.
That was straight out of the Lee Byrne book of dangerous catching.
Good to see it's finally getting dealt with properly. Now maybe youse'll stop doing it.
Yup, ref rules on outcome not intent. Kicked him in the face, red card.
Yup, ref rules on outcome not intent.
Given he jumped and the french winger didnt he was always likely to get a boot around the head.
How can you jump without getting your feet up? He cant leave his feet on the floor.
Its not like he just kicked him. Had the frenchy gone for the ball he'd have been ok.
Not like this one.
When you jump you lift your knee, studs pointing down. However, for a while there, the Welsh seemed to be getting coached to lift the leg and show the studs, presumably to dissuade people from challenging for the ball.
It should be stopped. I think a couple more red cards and players will quickly figure out how to jump without showing their studs.
That was straight out of the Lee Byrne book of dangerous catching.
You mean the one where the donkey scottish prop got a red card?
Straight red to Byrne clearly kneed the scot in the head!
Bout 40s in, Williams leading with the head before that too
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=32LJBXOPB_A
The one that always comes to mind is Byrne opening up Hugo Southwell's face with his studs. You saw him doing it all the time so it was going to happen eventually.
Was looking for Taine Basham's red card v Worcs but cant find it.
Can't find the video.
Again in that still the Scot shouldnt be going into contact with the bloke in the air, even if he is daft enough to be using his face to tackle with.

Byrne landed badly as I recall and most thought Hugo lucky not to get a card.
So, you reckon it should be allowed? Encouraged?
I think contact with a player in the air is illegal if you are not going for the ball and if you are on the floor the boots are going to be around you face. A proper kick out like the second clip is clearly illegal, having a boot in the air though is a consequence of jumping. Had Fall not run in and put his face there the boot wouldnt have hit it, had Fall jumped to get the ball his face wouldnt have hit the boot.
The Welsh players do seem to end up with their studs out more than others. Like I said, it's almost like they're coached to throw a leg out. Inevitably the commentators make say things like, 'You can't control where your leg ends up.' and yet most players can. It could be argued in your first clip that Dan Evans didn't raise his leg intentionally. You could also argue he did.
I think you have to go by results rather than intentions like you do with every other form of contact with the face.
Sorry but the Welsh are going to have to go back to jumping like the rest of us. Knee up, foot pointing down.
In fact, here's what Sam Warburton had to say
“I would be very, very disappointed if I was Dan Lydiate as captain,” said Warburton.
“You are coached to lift your leg up to defend yourself when you collect high balls.
“That’s just an unfortunate circumstance.
“Dan wasn’t looking to hit Teddy Thomas in the face and deliberately go for his chin.
“He looked away to protect the ball.
“I think that’s very harsh.”
The obvious solution is to stop coaching players to lift their leg to 'defend themselves'.
How does one jump without lifting a leg. If would be tacklers kept away from jumpers they wouldnt get a boot in the face. Contact with a player in the air is illegal, even if you use your face!
Lifting your leg and showing your studs is actually an extremely unnatural movement. If you jump like a normal person either your leg is straight and pointing down or your leg is bent and your foot is tucked under your bum.
Like Sam Warburton said, they have to coach players to do it. They should stop if they want to avoid red cards.
Lifting your leg and showing your studs is actually an extremely unnatural movement
Not if like Dan Evans in the example above you are rotating backwards and would land on your back if your leg didnt raise a leg, thats why I thought it was harsh.
If you coach people to show their studs to defend themselves then it's going to become a more natural movement. Accidents are going to happen, like in Dan Evans' case (I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt, even though there is no way of telling if sticking his leg out was instinctual or intentional).
They need to start coaching people to tuck their foot under their bum when they jump.

Unfortunately no, I went out on my bike instead as the sun was out.
Clear red. He looked right at him and planted his foot. Imo the ref was wrong to say accident but reckless.
I think it was deliberate
Clear red. He looked right at him and planted his foot.
You going to hsve to explain to me slowly how you "plant your foot" when in the air!
Evans gets a low end ban of four weeks, Basham just one week for the tip tackle red he got. I only saw a phone vid but it looked like had the video ref been in play it would have just been a yellow.
AA
You could clearly see him look at the player he kicked and move his foot towards him. deliberate.
Red card upheld , it was right the dirty cheat got sent off
Guilty plea from the player too. He knows he did it.
But good biscuits and he was very ,very sorry.
You could clearly see him look at the player he kicked and move his foot towards him. deliberate.
Why did he get a low end ban then? Not sure where you are looking but he is clearly looking the othercway as he starts to rotate backwards and his leg comes up to counter balance. I can understand the red but it very clearly isnt intentional
Accidental.
Accident
Intentional
Guys; could we please remember the rules? Evans=Welsh so therefore it is all unfair. Should I point out that the karate kid would also have been sent off? You seem to have some difficulty with that concept AA.
Should I point out that the karate kid would also have been sent off?
You beast!!

To me if you look at the player and then move your foot towards him while looking at him its deliberate.
But yes - we know that all refs unfairly penalise any and all welsh teams
To me if you look at the player and then move your foot towards him while looking at him its deliberate.
I agree its just thats clearly not what happens, he's looking at the ball then the other way from the player.
Only the one eyed.
On the TV live replays it was obvious he looked right at him. You can even see it on that clip
Only the one eyed.
Like the citing panel who gave him a low end ban? I think you must be looking at the wrong video.
YOU can see him clearly look at the guy and stick his leg out in that video.
YOU can see him clearly look at the guy and stick his leg out in that video
Er...ok. we'll have to agree to differ on this because discussion isnt possible when I cant understand your point. One last thing though, why did Evans get 8 mitigated down to 4 weeks and Nabura get 12 mitigated down to 6?
“You are coached to lift your leg up to defend yourself when you collect high balls.
Sam Warburton. It may or may not have been intentional, imo it's impossible to be sure from the video, but Wales need to stop coaching their players to lift their leg to 'defend themselves'
