Ignoring the spirit of giving & the gesture behind giving a card. What's been your most ugly/boring/rubbish Xmas card this year? I've been on the recieving end of a card showing the two children of the sender in the snow, along with an A4 print out of what they have done in 2010 (Disney land, winning tennis at school & babas first words) I hardly know the person let alone that they have children and was quite taken back that they even gave me a card (albiet a generic self indulgent one, flung out to anyone who will open the envolope). Add photos if you can be bothered.
We sent what is maybe a 'generic self indulgent' card this year - our baby dressed as a bear, seemingly abandoned on a park bench in six inches of snow. Sorry!
I think next year, we may continue in the same tasteful vein - maybe a picture of her hanging out near Bargain Booze with a bottle in a paper bag. Hmm.
My most pretentious Christmas card ever was the year when I sent completely white cards, with a tiny iridescent silver shard of plastic 'ice' (was actually cut from the back of a cd), and no text in the card at all except a tiny message on the back cover saying 'christmas, Joe Marshall, 1998'.
Maybe it's me whose got it all wrong then... I like the idea of the CD ice shard.
hehe. I like those value cards. there's a 'tesco value' Valentine card too. I sent it to mrs expunk last year. you need a wife with a sense of humour for that one tho 🙂
terahawk - i gave my mum one of those for her birthday - she didn't see the joke
