Lookin to stop in Dolgellau for a few days and the places we previously recommended are now booked.
Anyone stayes at the Royal Ship? Looks nice, but dont want to book if they aren't bike friendly.
Phone em? That\s what I usually do.
Yes, we were there at the weekend. They have a courtyard at the back of the hotel and you can lock bikes safely in that
Don't eat there though, poor peaking at very average...
Cheers NBT and TurnerGuy. Â Will try and get a table at the restaraunt in the cellar of the BB at the top of town.
We ate there. Food wasn't bad by any means but certainly not worth a special trip.

well my partner opted for scampi and chips as she wasn't feeling adventurous and had also recently had an excellent scampi and chips at the George III not too far away, and she reckoned it was very poor.
I always thought scampi and chips was the safe option, but it seems not.
I went for a steak pie which was 'pick of the day' but I'd struggle to find a more average pie in the supermarket.
Try that Bistro place across the road for food - I ate there years ago when on a riding break and it was decent.
We'd had a big day - we started in Aberystwyth, the others cycled up by tandem while we had to get the bus to Porthmadog to collect the car, back to aberystwyth to collect the tandem (as Mrs NBT was too poorly to ride) then get back up to Dolgellau. The others arrived a long time before we did and just booked us in for a meal. As I said the food was not bad (I had Cheese and Onion Pie), but had we thought about it more I'd have checked tripadvisor.
