Ordered some road bike cartridge brake pads from an ebay shop. After a couple of weeks I contacted the seller to see when the pads were posted. They'd been posted First Class Recorded 'Signed For' about 10 days earlier. When they still didn't arrive after further week the seller sent me another set.
Typically, both the replacement and original set arrived this week. Oddly, although both were marked as recorded signed for, they were posted through the door with the other mail. We were in but nobody knocked for us to sign.
I phoned the seller to tell him I'd be returning the second set, and told him about us not being asked to sign. He said it seems to happen a lot.
I't wasn't our usual postie today- he's usually spot on with parcels and other recorded stuff. It's just a bit worrying when in the past we've had parcels clearly marked 'Amazon' or others with potential valuable contents left on our doorstep about 10 feet from the pavement. Makes you wonder what deliveries go AWOL without us seeing them.
I know there are a few Royal Mail staff on STW. Just wondering if it's a common problem.
