Anyone know if its possible to collect UK train tickets (ie via a machine) from Rosslare?

I'm touring Ireland next week, and not sure when I'm coming back. So would be looking at booking homeward bound rail+sail while I'm over there. Just wondering how I can get the tickets. Especially as will require bike reservations too.

My assumption would be nope.
Quick test would be to try booking it now for a random date and see whether it pops up in the list of stations you can collect from. You choose before paying from memory so you can just cancel out.
Various eticket options now though. Some just pdf on phone but some need a shitty app. Again go through the booking process and you can see what options are open to you.

Good idea. And, yes, you're right. Rosslare not offered as an option. Pretty much what I thought.

As far as I can tell none of the eticket options cover bike reservations. Will look into this a bit more though.

Ta for the input.

Can you use the trainline eticket app for your ticket and then phone their call centre to get a bike booking? Otherwise pop into any manned irish station like Waterford, they are not exactly busy and usually helpful.

As an aside if you are cycling back to Rosslare from the south, the coast road from Dungarven to Tramore is pretty special or the flatter alternative Deise Greenway from Dungarvan to Waterford also try to take ferry between Passage East and Ballyhack after a pitstop in Dunmore Eastwhen heading to Rosslare. I do the reverse journey every summer when getting into Rosslare

Ah, El Vino, good info there. I'm going Rosslare to Cork this week, then back next week. Doing Passage East, and the Greenway, on the way there. So will do the coast road on the way back.

Was planning on stopping over in Waterford, would Tranmore or Dunmore East be nicer for a B&B + pint?

Also, when you say the coast road, do you mean exactly that? RideWithGPS wants to put me on one road inland. It looks a bit less trafficked, but misses the sea views? Street view suggests the actual coast road would be perfectly ridable.

I will dig out a couple of strava routes and send them to you, coast route is all perfectably rideable and views are amazing. Loads of little rocky coves all worth a stop if you have stove to brew up

Dunmore East is a lovely fishing port with a couple of nice coves and good food. Tramore is a bit of a mix of a faded seaside town but with a great beach and some good food. Both are much better options than Waterford in my opinion.
