We're buying a house and the survey has shown that there is asbestos in the insulation boards and cement verges (and other places).
All being well the seller is paying for the removal and replacement of fascia boards, soffits etc.
There might, however, be a gap between the contractor removing the asbestos
and when the next contractor can replace the roof line. The verges should be done as soon as the asbestos is gone.
Question is, would the roof etc be OK without the fascia boards, soffits & guttering for a short (2 - 3 weeks) period of time?
It'll be fine. If you get driving rain you might get a bit of moisture where you don't want it but that'll dry out. You'll also get a bit of water running down the walls without gutters. Not good long term but fine for a week or three
Thanks nick 🙂
