Just bought myself a roofbox and it has come with t-Rack bolts that slide into the channel on the alu roof bars. Was wondering how secure these are though, would someone not just be able to slide the box off the car? was wondering if anyone had experience with these? or whether just to use the U-bolts as these can't be slid off as they would hit the feet of the roof bars.
If they are tight, not a chance, the bolts will bite into the aluminium. You'd also need to knock it off square or again it would bind.
Fair enough, never used them before so just was a bit worried I was going to come back to a car minus it's box haha
I'm about to buy one too. Are the boxes with t-bars installed fairly easy to slide onto the bars?

Dunno about boxes but I have them on bike racks. They're essentially the same principle as QR axles, you drop 'em in, spin the handles and then cam them shut.
Dunno about them biting into the bars. Mine certainly don't but the box is going nowhere. Can't nick the roofbox cos that's locked and you need to get inside it to lose off the bolts. Would defo get t-track. Let's you position the box closer to the edge so you can get a t-track bike rack alongside.
