Does anyone have good local knowledge of the Sweet Lamb stage for good viewing a spot.
It would be great to get a spot where they are flat out over a jump but open to advice.
Day 1 we will in Walters Arena.
Grid refs maybe useful and approx walking distances , although we do have our gravel bikes with us.
Thanks
Is it the Sweet Lamb rally complex just off the A44 or the Sweet Lamb stage in Hafren Forest?
As above if it’s the sweet lamb bowl you can see quite a bit where ever you are
So just the usual route by looks of it

Apologies as I have no idea where is best place to view. I would be tempted if I had a bike to ride around and check out a few spots in advance if you have time
The arena sounds best bet then , I was not sure of the set up.
Thanks
There is a Hafren South stage as well.
I was browsing some photo of practice and saw the big air photos hence this post.
Ooh I see there are broadcasts on Facebook and Youtube. I shall be tuning in. This is proper rallying, none of that fancy pants WRC stuff.
Day 2 for us Rally watching.
Wow, what a fantastic venue at Sweet Lamb unfeasibly good weather today. A photographers dream I would think.
Seems they shut entry to spectators due to the big numbers so my advice is get there early if you're planning to watch any action over the next few days. (At least 2hrs ish)
Sweet Lamb as a bike gravel crit?Looks a good venue. Some steep ups in places though.
Coverage on Facebook isn't brilliant but it's a hell of a lot better than nothing at all. The drivers being interviewed seem to be enjoying themselves.
Hope you got in. It was busy and they closed the car park before stage start 🙁
We have just got back to the AirBnB after two days of marshaling. It has taken me nearly 6 years to get to one (it only runs every two years) and it really is back to the Grass Roots of Rallying that I enjoy a lot 🙂
Op glad you liked Sweet Lamb
i didn’t realise what an epic event this is ! 5 days of proper rallying, not the rubbish they do these days.
I’m watching here https://youtube.com/@SpecialStage?si=lfhTzexN467k4Nca
Some really good informed nerdy commentary
And I only realised the other day that the name of it is purposely so in order to get away with calling it the RAC Rally to invoke that golden age
@FunkyDunk
I've wasted hours on there the last couple of days.
Great seeing all the old cars still being ragged round the forest.
Used to love the RAC when I was younger.
Watching the daily summary programme now, proper full on rally car nerd heaven
I heard earlier that Seb Perez' Lancia Stratos needed a radiator changing. I hadn't realised until I saw this it involved removing the entire backend of the car.

EDIT. Oh hang on, my mistake, I've just spotted the engine still in there. As you were.
