Just back from a 50's Rock'n'Roll night.
Invited by a neighbour, huge Phoenix Nights style social club in Accrington.....oh the glamour.
Proper good do, great band, brilliant venue, cheap drinks, couple of hundred punters there, most wearing the gear and many of a certain age. 🙂
A genuinely excellent night out.
To top it all off nicely, Mrs Spanner won £20 and a meal for 2 from a local chippy in the raffle 😀. Only in Accy....
Like the Northern Soul scene, there were folks of all ages there, family groups, two or three generations all happily enjoying themselves.
I had no idea this was still a 'thing', but I'm glad it is.

Father-in-law & wife's uncle & partners go it's been going years say it gets busy...
I hope they keep the windows closed so as not to annoy the neighbours ..
