Is back! Or it is via iPlayer; looking for The Living And The Dead to download the latest episode, I noticed Robot Wars is on the Beeb iPlayer, and downloaded it onto my Sky box. This is via the iOS app, I didn't notice it on the actual Sky guide on the tellybox, but I wasn't looking for it.

Hmmm, I haven't watched it yet, but maybe you're right. The Beeb keep trailering it, so I thought they've started to put it up for download in advance, like some other series.
I may be in for a small disappointment. 😐
Given that Bladerunner is set in 2019 and and the nexus series robots had a 4 year lifespan - I'll be disappointed in non of the robots look like Daryl Hanna or Rutger Hauer. If they still look like Metal Mickey and Bigtrak I'll be demanding my license fee back.
It was the introduction to the house robots. Worth watching, the house robots all look the same, and have the same names and armaments.
However, they've been in the gym, and there ought to be an inquiry into steroid abuse, because Matilda, the smallest, is now 305Kg, Sir Killalot is 750Kg! 😯

Really bugs me that they are called robots. They are basically just RC toys, albeit bloody big ones.
I would hope that the could really push things on a bit with some sensors and programming to get them to do at least partial automation.
