If you are desperate to find something to be offended by then this earlier comment probably has slightly greater potential as it presumably refers to the possibility of gay rape

Martymac I’m not sure if your post is intended to be slightly apologist for Kelly’s behaviour and although I agree there are complicit others, he knew full well what he was doing, and he knew it was wrong. He’s getting what he deserves.
And yes there’s another trial to face, so currently he might get out at 82yo, but it seems highly likely more time will be added. It’s not certain because I think the legal system disregards this current sentence and treats the other in isolation…?
I'm glad this these people are getting sentenced and more media attention. They are out and out utter scum. They ruin innocent lives and deserve everything they get and more. I hope there are plenty of slips in the shower coming his way.

Thanks Superficial, my knowledge of prison culture is poor - I'm not disputing it. I obviously made an incorrect assumption concerning what typically occurs in prison showers.
I was merely attempting to help someone to find something to be offended by - I did say "presumably".

He's 55 now and it's 30 years withour parole, so he'll very likely die in prison. He'll have appeals of course.

Not that I particularly want to leap to the defence of Ernie's sarcasm, but I too would have interpreted "fell in the shower" as something presented an excuse for why someone might be seeing a doctor with a bar of soap or shampoo bottle wedged up their arse. (That's the patient, not the doctor.)

As am I. I think there's been a belief for a long time that if you're far enough up the food chain, you're untouchable (cf. Savile). It's good that, even if slowly for now, we're demonstrating that not to be the case.
