Asking for a friend, he received his lovely new Giant Revolt from Tredz and it appears to have been set up pretty nicely but the rear brake lever comes back to the bars.

We ran through the SRAM pad advance procedure but with no joy. I sent him home with advice to leave them overnight with a rubber band round the lever, but looking at how convoluted the hose route is I'm not convinced it'll shift any bubbles.

Find a shop to bleed for him?

Contact Tredz and get their agreement to pay for any work. That’d be step 1

Is it air in the system? Or is that the pads aren't advancing?

My money would be on the pads but not advancing. They sometimes need a bit of extra encouragement to sit closer to the disc. Take the front wheel out and carefully pump the lever a couple of time while closely watching the pads.
