Also great as the brash industrialist in Blackadder the Third.

I love her more than any pig, and that's saying summit.

Shame - Would generally seek out a show/film if I saw he was in it. Only 67 too.

He was a great character actor, favorite in Dalziel and Pascoe as that grumpy down to earth copper who cut through the 'carp' to get the villan.
I used to see him out n about as he lived not that far from me.
RIP.

I first saw him in a TV adaptation of David Lodge's Nice Work.

Brilliant actor.
