Died before Hopkirk. 1976.
Met him at an Inter Association Autotest at Larne in the early 80s. He took part and got lots of cheers in both car and bar. A fun loving guy from a time when you could have fun and win the Monte.
Perhaps someone with a better Internet connection can find and link the in-car Youtube of him doing the Monte in the last of the real minis.
