didnt know his links to early clash, only really came to know his guitar work with jah wobble on metal box, but what a sound they made together.
65, another one gone to cancer. RIP keith.
Yeah, agree big Clash fan here, although slightly before my time, but the early distinctive, Clash sound was very much his influence. Apparently didn't like their politicisation of the music so left to form PiL.
RIP.
Yeah, what an original talent he was. Read Jah Wobble’s autobiography and sounds like Keith was lucky to make it to 65. So chuffed to have seen PiL recently, shame Keith wasn’t playing, but the songs he had a hand in were still awesome.
RIP
It's been a bad year. Metalbox was certainly a big influence on me.
Oh bugger, another gone. RIP.
PIL, obviously, but one of my treasures in my vinyl box is the Cowboys International album, Original Sin. Never sold much, but one of those albums ahead of it's time and so classy. Worth a listen if you missed it first time round.
I am guessing with the amount of smack was was supposed to have used, getting to 65 was an achievement. That said Keith Richard still soldiers on!
John Lydon seemed to hate him during their PiL days
