I have a memory of meeting both Jeremy Bulloch and Dave Prowse in 1980 when I was 7.

It was a promo thing for Empire Strikes Back.

My mum and I queued for ages outside the Co-Op in Belfast. Must have stood for hours and hours (the queue snaking for miles and miles all along the street and up the fire escape of the building.)

After shuffling slowly for ages I remember finally turning a corner and there was Darth and Boba (and a few Ugnaughts) running around a mini mock-up of the carbonite chamber.

Coulda been any Joe bloggs wearing the costumes but I did get an autographied photo of David Prowse signed by the man himself as I hid behind my mums skirt freaked out by the disgusting little Ugnaught creatures.

Still got my Boba figure from Empire. (I always check it every few months to see if it has magically turned into one of the ones that had a firing rocket.) No luck so far.

RIP Jeremy Bulloch. Gone to ride the great Mythosaur in the sky.

Sad - especially as he had suffered from complicated health for a few years.
