IMHO - one of the most important figures in the evolution of popular music. Key figure in the making of some of the most innovative records of the time.
RIP George.
This is really shaping up to be a bad year.
Mind you, there's a hell of a supergroup being formed in the afterlife!
He used to be a neighbour in Coleshill, always very pleasant and would say hello when ever we saw him. Never liked the Beatles but he was a true music great and did lots of work with other artists.
RIP
nice vid of when he met Brian Wilson
Great clip.
True British great. RIP

I know what you're saying, but it's not a case of some untimely death from illness or accident - he lived to the ripe old age of 90, more than most will see.
I know we don't take any joy in death, but as far as a full life goes his was pretty much the perfect life.
I wonder how many game of thrones fans panicked when they saw this thread title...

Indeed.
^^ and some quality comedy records too.
What? Right said Fred is comedy? I thought it was a serious statement on the lot of the downtrodden working man.

If it happens, there'll be nothing but resignation. And a vague hope that he left enough notes for Brandon Sanderson to un**** the series and make it good again like with Robert Jordan.
Wonderful clip thanks for that . Two supremely talented people RIP George
interesting fact from r4s last word, he was best man at Spike Milligans wedding 🙂
