Brings back memories of many a disco in my youth stood near the bar and trying to pluck up the courage to ask some pretty girl to dance - usually ended up with just ordering another drink 🙁

Shame she did some classic stuff and was a pure fox. By all accounts her cancer was brought on by particles from the 9/11 twin towers blasts.
R.I.P Donna.

She had an amazing voice, vocal range and ability to record and be successful for many decades.

Many happy hours spend boogying down to her in my yoof.

It's always very sad to hear of a singer passing away that isn't Cliff Richard.

Never going to happen in my lifetime - he's God's little helper on Earth, bloody bulletproof.

I can't believe "I feel love" was released in 1977! Amazingly ahead of its time.

Sad news indeed. RIP Donna.

Sad sad day. Donna was epic!

I can't believe "I feel love" was released in 1977! Amazingly ahead of its time.
Sad news indeed. RIP Donna.

I feel love was the first ever fully electronic disco record, and as such was sooooo far ahead of its time, it took years and years to really appreciate the effect it had on the industry. OK that was as much down to Giorgio Moroder's genius as it was Summer, but it was her voice that made it! Proper disco queen, by all accounts she was awesome live, and what a voice...

R.I.P you will be missed.

So sad to hear this and even now hearing her voice makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.
I remember listening to I feel love almost every week in the Coconut Grove in Liverpool when I was younger.
Beautiful woman and a beautiful sound.

I've always liked "I feel Love" but only really heard it on the radio etc. I just downloaded it and popped it onto my MP3 player. It sounded absolutely amazing. If the daughter hadn't gone to bed, the proper stereo would get it.

No wonder it changed disco music so much.

flatboy you're a star. I was searching for the full version of this on the web a couple of weeks ago. I could only find an 8 minute version which missed all the best bits. I've got the original 12" vinyl version but no means of playing it any more. Played this to death in my first car back in the day. 😀
