Sad news.  We saw him at the Yorkshire v Surrey match at Scarborough this summer and we thought he was looking frail.  He was always at any Yorkshire match and happy to chat to anyone about cricket.  He spent all afternoon at Scarborough sat on his own glued to the match.  He really did love his cricket and Yorkshire CC.

two things i remember about him.

1. He never bought a round. 

2. When he bought a jag it didnt fit in his drive. 

nice guy though.
