Saw that - not as old as I thought actually. Used to love the Sweeney esp the closing music.

RIP Dennis…

Loved his MkII Capri in Minder

In the opening credits where he is looking over the Capri, in the background there is a white Alfa Romeo 105 series Giulia Coupe…. Now which would I have chosen?? I looked out for it every episode, teenage car geek that I was.
There was also a Fiat 130 saloon, a Ford Escort 1600 Sport etc. etc..happy days

I bumped into Rocky Taylor (stuntman) on a golf course some years ago. I had played with Rocky a year or so previously so was pleased to see him and shook hands and started to chat. I'd just said a brief "hello" to the chap he was playing with... then I realised it was Dennis. and tried to not show I hadn't recognised him... he started chatting, two very blockey chaps, very down to earth.

RIP Dennis... I still love watching Minder, it just works for me.   Just hope Rocky is still going as he had Covid very badly.

Used to see him running down Chiswick High Road after Rula Lenska shouting, "Rula, Rula, I didn't mean it".
And then turn round and bump into John Thaw.

I really, really loved The Sweeney. Found my DVDs of it the other week.

Also fond memories of watching Minder with the family as a kid. He worked so well with both John Thaw and with George Cole, rather than being overshadowed by them.
